Bones. <3

So the *only* good thing about being sick and unable to do basic things like move and breathe is that it is a very good excuse for curling up in bunches of blankets and catching up on Bones eps.

I haven’t seen Bones since January, which is a first for me; I have literally watched Bones every single week since the first episode aired with no more than a 3-week break tops. This is extraordinary for me because I always lose interest in tv shows by the 3rd season or so; the only 2 shows I’ve watched all 7 seasons of are Buffy & the Gilmore Girls, and I got into both of them during late seasons and then played catchup, which was a different experience.

Anyway, Bones has been kind of off and on this season and I felt like my interest in it was lagging a lot. This was sad because I’ve said over and over again that Bones is the one show that’s never let me down. I always feel like it’s so much smarter and more through-composed than people give it credit for, and it’s done so much blatantly STUPID shit, and has so many blatant recurring problems with fat characters and foreign characters and subcultures, that it costs more for me to say that as time goes on. Like, the show has to work harder to earn my love and loyalty as time goes on and it stacks up things like Zack and The Japanese Episode and The Pony Play episode kalsdfj;kdljkl.

But the thing about Bones is that it always wins in the end. Like. When it’s on, it’s beautifully on, as heartwarming and full of love for its fans as ever. Bones is a show that rewards lots of faith, because, again, it never lets you down.

I don’t have any real spoilers for the last 4 eps, but I’ll cut the rest of this post anyway.

sudden outpourings of love!

This week I have had random fitful outpourings of love for each of the following things, which I will list, rather than painstakingly detail, because I am too boring to go through them all:

- Strangers on a Train, my favorite Hitchcock movie! which I saw in the Chrysler Museum theatre last week and which i have been <333333 about ever since. I love this movie so much. I even RPS-ship it; Granger & Walker got to be extremely close during the film, and Granger was "devastated" when Walker died just before the film's release. Such a tragedy. BUT SO MUCH HOMOEROTIC LOVE.

- Star Trek: TOS. i mean. come on. Amok Time! The Corbomite Manuever! City on the Edge of Forever! Let That Be Your Last Battlefield! "HIS BRAIN IS GONE!" omg show is so great <33333333 how did i not realize how awesome it was all my life.

- MY FLIST. i <3 you guys, you are all just so wise and loving and generous and smart and awesome. <3

- Halloween & Autumn! I love orange, and orange is the color of October, right, and i think maybe now that I don't have my Firefox Foxkeh skin (weeps) i have been missing my daily dose of the color, because ALL I WANT TO DO THIS MONTH is wallow in the season. who I consider to be a Halloween GURU gave me some tips for ringing the season in right. Tonight I am going to go buy Halloween decorations (and also Season 4 of Bones <3333333333333333) and make a Halloween playlist!
